WHITE LABEL WEBSITE COPY EDITING FOR DESIGNERS

Copy Edits for DIY Website Content

Copy Support That Saves You Hours and Increases Your Client’s Confidence in the Project

Not every client wants to hire a copywriter.

And it’s not just because they’re low budget or just starting out.

Sometimes they’re an established business who has already invested in brand strategy or messaging and doesn’t want to start over. Or sometimes the client wants to write the content themselves or have you scrub the existing website.

We get that. But YOU KNOW the content is still going to need a little work to make sure it is fully optimized and ready for the new website. Wouldn’t it be great if you could have a professional copywriter *review and polish* the content, saving you hours of prep?

Not a web designer? We also work directly with brands to offer professional website copy editing and more.

That’s Exactly Why We Created the Copy Edit

A white label website copy editing service exclusively for web designers.

We launched this service in the fall of 2025 and we’ve been booking like crazy since.

Designers love it because:

  • You can simply coordinate client’s content deadline and my start date,

  • You don’t have to edit. Ever. Again.

  • The price point is a great fit to integrate into existing pricing.

  • Your client gets an improved message and you save your sanity.

And the copy works because it:

  • Is clear, easy to read, and skimmable

  • Flows logically with strong headlines and calls-to-action

  • Optimized for search engines so ideal clients can find the business

Website Copy Editing Pro, At Your Service

Copy the most anxiety-inducing part of your web design process? Let’s change that.

Hi, I’m Nikki, messaging strategist, website copywriter, StoryBrand Certified Guide, and owner of Clarity Branding Co. I’ll take your client’s meh content and make it shine. (Unless of course they need a complete overhaul, in which case we’ll start from the ground up with a Copy Intensive.)

I’ve seen too many designers spending hours prepping content and stepping out of their zone of genius (design, selling, being awesome) to try to wrangle words for clients. And I’ve spoken to dozens of designers who wanted to collaborate with us for copywriting but their clients just wouldn’t invest $$$ in copywriting support.

So … we’re sneaking it in behind the scenes. Let’s go undercover!

Here Are the Main Issues We See When Reviewing Existing Site Content

There isn’t enough content for each page

There are paragraphs of AI word salads

It’s focused on the business and not the client’s story (lots of we, not enough I)

It’s unclear what we’re asking the user to do (Fill out a form? Schedule a call? Apply?)

No SEO strategy or optimization for content & unclear headline hierarchy

All clarity, user experience, and conversion issues that you need to work through before designing. Yuck, right? Not for us!

Introducing The *Copy Edit*

    • Review of 5+ web pages

    • Editing for clarity, grammar, and flow

    • Formatting for web readability (headlines, subheadings, bullets)

    • Conversion-focused adjustments (CTAs, clarity of offer)

    • SEO optimization (keywords, titles, meta descriptions, on-page placement), if selected

    • Final content delivered in Google Docs

    1. Your client is new in business and still budget sensitive. They’re spending all their budget on design and need to DIY their content (likely relying on AI).

    2. You’re told to use their existing website content and … it needs help.

    3. Your client has already invested in brand strategy and copywriting with another vendor and doesn’t want or need to start over again.

    4. You, the designer, love to prepare content, but want a professional review so you feel 100% confident in the words you’ve crafted.

  • 5 business days—we make these a quick turnaround so you can get what you need and get designing!

  • Starts at $650

Copy Edits are not a good fit when your client needs brand message development or full copywriting. You’ll want to explore a Copy Intensive for that.

What it is: A professional polish up of existing or newly drafted content. This is a white label website copy editing service and does not include client communication or messaging strategy.

What Designers & Clients Are Saying About Copy Edits

When Designers First Hear About the Copy Edit

How a Copy Edit Works

Clarity Branding Submark White

Sound like a dream come true?

1.

You book your project with us. Once you’re a partner of ours, you can book your client’s project on our booking link and select our start date. You send me the client’s existing or newly drafted website content, any brand strategy questionnaire, etc.

We edit the content. We’re tweaking content to make it skimmable, with value-rich headlines and optimized copy for conversion. (In addition to making sure it reads well.) We make all the changes stand out, so you/your client can quickly see exactly what was changed. (See a sea of purple? The copy was rough!)

2.

You receive refreshed copy ready for review or design. Here it’s up to you: some designers prefer to roll right into design and wow their clients with their refreshed content, or have the client do a final pass and sign-off on the docs.

3.

Design-Ready Content Is Just a Copy Edit Away

✔️ You don’t have to edit content again.

✔️ You don’t have to worry about content being ready before the design start date.

✔️ You don’t have to worry if the new site is going to help the client reach their business goals.

Psst! Copy Edits Are Just the Beginning …

White label website copy editing is just one service I offer designers
who are part of our Integrated Copy Partnership.

Frequently Asked Questions about Copy Edits

  • Great question! We want to get to know you and your studio before we work together. To kick things off, fill out our inquiry form to book a call, and we’ll connect from there. If it’s a good fit, we make booking our website copy editing service super simple.

  • The choice is yours. However, I recommend integrating our website copy editing service into your packages so that you have a baseline copy support for all of your projects—especially if your client is preparing their own content.

  • Typically, clients may have a handful of minor adjustments (if any) after we complete our website copy editing, and they are able to make those swaps themselves. If your client would like to engage in a Copy Intensive instead (where we meet directly, go deep into their brand, and collaborate throughout a revisions process), we can discuss what that could look like.

  • Perfect! I have a video survey link you can share with your client, so they can explain anything verbally about their existing content or struggles with messaging. For some clients, this is extremely helpful to feel heard and understood, while still streamlining the entire process for your copy team.

Let’s take your site content from “good enough” to wow, this is great.

Your client is going to DIY content, but you can give them a better result than they can get on their own. Schedule a call to discuss integrating website copy editing into your packages.
